Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a pioneering figure in American law and a champion of gender equality and women's rights. Born in Brooklyn in 1933, Ginsburg graduated from Cornell University and later attended Harvard Law School, where she was one of only nine women in her class. Despite facing discrimination throughout her career, she went on to become a highly respected attorney and a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit before being appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1993. During her tenure on the Court, Ginsburg became known for her sharp legal mind, her passionate defense of civil liberties and women's rights, and her unflagging determination to achieve justice for all. We honor her and her legacy.
